Stanford Lee Wilson has a BFA in oil painting from the University of Washington, where he studied with Michael Spafford, Bob Jones, and Jacob Lawrence. He has worked extensively photographing and videotaping musicians, touring Europe with the Mark Lanegan Band, and visually recording live shows by numerous bands including Modest Mouse, Built to Spill, Elliot Smith, Queens of the Stone Age, Dead Moon, Mudhoney, and multiple UP Record artists. Album cover credits include Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter, Mark Lanegan, Mike Johnson, Marc Olsen, and Caustic Resin. He also creates short form art movies and music videos. His work can be viewed on You Tube, where his username is famousunknown.
