Al Knight holds a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science from Purdue University. He was on the staff of Purdue University for nearly 30 years, holding the position since 1981 of director of training and leadership development. He retired from Purdue in May 2004. He is an Indiana Artisan and a partner at Artists’ Own Art Gallery in Lafayette Indiana.

His interest in photography began at age 14 when his father purchased for him a Bolsey 35 mm camera as a Christmas present. The gift preceded a family trip to Florida where Al photographed the adventure. He still possesses early 1955 images of the trip.

Al and his wife travel extensively, having been in all 50 states, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, the West Indies, England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Austria, Germany, France, Panama, Costa Rica, Chile, Argentina, New Zealand, Japan, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
