About

As a photographer, Mariflor began creating images on her own in 2005 and from 2008 onwards she participates in a permanent workshop together with four other colleagues under the tutorship of venezuelan photographer Ricardo Jimenez focusing in documentary and abstract images. The photography titled "Emptiness" which she coauthored with venezuelan dramatist Jose Tomas Angola was chosen by the Spanish Embassy in Caracas within the International Book Fair in Valencia, as homage to the spanish poet Miguel Hernández. In February 17th, 2011, she participated in a collective exhibition in Casa Cuadrada Gallery in Santa Fe de Bogotá, Colombia. She is preparing a collection titled "Strange Era" for another exhibition to take place in 2013.
Mariflor is also a writer specializing in fictional short stories and travel chronicles.
