Photography is the current stop on my creative journey. It's a place I've visited before, back in the old days of film and darkrooms. I was single and could travel back then, but now I'm an old married lady with grown sons who were kind enough to give me a Canon XSi two years ago on my birthday. My focus now is on local sites, including my backyard creek, auto junkyards, and the many attractions offered in the suburbs of Chicago. Although the switch to digital was tough at first, I have now fully embraced it and all the accoutrements, including Photoshop. A collector at heart, I traipse around adding details, landscapes, patterns, textures and colors to my toolbox, for use in straight images, as layers, or as ingredients in my composite work. I particularly enjoy ephemeral subjects--ice, water, fire, clouds--and deteriorating wood and metal things. Please visit my website for work in many different categories.
