About

William Crandall
"Nature Discoverer"

In 2009, Bill was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Having watched his mother struggle with the disease, he was anxious about how life would unfold. He has been immeasurably helped by a focus and passion that he found shortly after being diagnosed. Photography was his new found passion, and specifically photographing water, trees, plants, flowers and insects as they change during the yearly cycle. This new lens made Bill more aware of the subtleties in the natural world, even beyond the blossoms and the new growth of springtime and the vivid colors of fall.

Bill believes that life can be enriched through this awareness, and that photography provides an opportunity for the sharpening and focusing of our observational skills. Through his photography he hopes to enable others to better understand the nature of the beauty surrounding us.
