Gloria von Sperling is a Brazilian born artist who resides and works in New York City. As well as being a studio artist, she has worked for many years as a decorative painter. At times, her decorative work has migrated into her paintings in the form of stenciled patterns, textured finishes and skillful
colorations. Ms. von Sperling's work is greatly inspired by nature as may be seen through the thematic presence of flowers. There are deep meditations within this artists work on the complexities of love, loss, desire and humanity. Throughout her bright abstractions she strives to bring out the beauty in all of these dimensions.
