Jo Thompson is a painter, printmaker, pastelist and educator. Her classes are relaxed, lively and happy! During her Fine Art career she has had extensive solo and group exhibitions with galleries in Palm Springs, San Diego, Los Angeles and Chicago. Her work is in private and corporate collections. She has continued to offer classes on many media: watercolor, acrylics, drawing, papermaking, book arts, collage and more. She earned a BFA degree from Illinois Wesleyan University, pursued graduate studies in art history in Europe and has an MA in Education, Instructional Technology from California State University, San Bernardino. She has taught art K-12 to College.

Jo is also a Co-founder of Women Creating Peace a group committed to art for change, and gathering women in sacred spaces to promote and support personal and social growth.
