Matthew Gordon was born in Port Huron, Michigan in 1989. Attending the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Matthew graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, with honors, in 2011.

After college, Matthew worked for the Helen Keller Foundation for Research & Education as a copywriter, where he wrote, designed, and edited the book Helen Keller: From Her Mind to Your Mind.

Matthew now lives just outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan with his fiancé, an artist. He works independently, writing for various organizations, and enjoys reading and writing history, as well as photography.
