Melissa Crain is a photographer and artist from Sebastopol, California. Melissa graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Sonoma State University in 2007.

After being a professional web and graphic designer for several years, Melissa realized her dream and opened a photography studio with her parents. Arken Studios specializes in fine art wedding and portrait photography.

In September of 2008, Melissa spent two weeks in Cyprus, an island nation in the Mediterranean. The experience was life-changing and awe-inspiring. The photographs in her book Cyprus: In Photographs reflect her journey.

Her work has been featured in exhibitions including the Fall 2009 installment of the Phantom Art Gallery by the City of Milpitas.

Melissa is currently living in San Francisco.
