Wayne started to write poetry as a therapeutic outlet during a rocky time in his marriage. His poetry covers a wide range of subjects including comedy, romance, anger, depression, and even a few topics suggested by co-workers and close friends. After nearly twenty-nine years of marriage Wayne and his wife divorced.

Following the advice of his counselor, Wayne has spent time reconnecting with his past. Moving back to Enfield, contacting old friends and classmates, meeting new friends through old ones and spending more time with family has put him in touch with his creative side and inspired him to write the poetry you will read here.
