Thomas E. Daschke left corporate life after four decades to raise Scottish Highland longhorn cattle in Northeast Pennsylvania with his wife, Joyce. In 2009, Tom joined Facebook and started updating his status with a series of beautiful, tough, and sometimes whimsical observations about farm life. As it happened, these status updates from Highland Farm would also capture moments of the last year of its time as a working farm. This collection, compiled by his son Dereck and illustrated by his daughter Amy, presents the best of Tom's ear for language and eye for detail that his friends and family have long enjoyed.
