My Bio
|
My work is a collections of images taken in the homes of people close to me. I like to think of it as captured seconds of existence, which are not often focus on. To me photography is a medium which pauses time and allows us to take a closer look at the small things that we do every day that are not always consciously processed. It freezes the bond between our emotions and our physical presence. I feel that the menial things we do is what provides the basis for constructing our memories. I try to record the routine practices that mindlessly occur but have no reason to be purposely remembered.
My images have a nostalgic air; elements can trigger memories on a universal scale. I want my images to surpass the boundaries of generations. After looking at my photographs I want people to stop and take a closer look at what is happening around them and pay attention to the detail.
