My Bio Andrea Baucon is a geologist and paleontologist with the UNESCO Geopark Naturtejo Meseta Meridional. The author is active in scientific research, dedicating himself to the study of fossil and recent traces (ichnology). He is interested in using ichnological data to investigate the interactions between organisms and the environment, especially from a behavioural perspective. He has participated in a number of geological and paleontological missions focusing especially on the fossil records of Portugal, Mongolia and the Alps.

Baucon is also specialized in geotourism and, in particular, in popularizing geological heritage through digital media. He has produced computer animations for documentaries, interactive exhibits and art festivals. Baucon also created “Geodelica Trilogy”, a Video Art installation mixing music, fossils, computer-generated graphics, animations, fractal art and petrographic thin sections.
