About

Frank "Twig" Branch was born in Sallis, Mississippi during the Great Depression. His stories of a bygone era in the rural south capture the simpler times when the great outdoors and close knit communities of family and friends provided more adventure than any motion picture or video game could ever imagine.
Following his youth in Sallis, he played football at Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, MS under the tutelage of his high school coach, Dobie Holden. He then went on to play for Mississippi State, in Starkville, MS, where he earned the name "Twig" as the lightning fast 120 pound starting quarterback - No 0.
He was later inducted in the Mississippi State Football Hall of Fame and the Mississippi Community and Junior College Sports Hall of Fame. Twig also enjoyed his own season of pouring into young men as the head high school coach for the Picayune Maroon Tide.
Sports aside, Twig counts his greatest accomplishments as his faith and his family. Proverbs 3:5-8
