To produce her evocative pieces, Willemstijn meticulously slices into thick silver plate, leaving the edges rough emphasising the hand-made quality of her work. As a reaction against mass-production, Willemstijn creates pieces that cannot be reproduced, using unusual and often rare materials to produce elegant, avant-garde jewellery with an embedded memory and history.
