Steven Burt was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. An architect by profession, he’s been writing articles for a variety of design and construction-related publications since 1992, including Semiconductor International, Planning Commissioner’s Journal, and Utah Progress. Following years of interest in spy-thrillers, he published a role-playing card game in 2009 called Spies & Spooks, which sold for years in the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. He also wrote and co-illustrated the children’s book Goldilocks and the Three Wicked Pigs. More recently his love of good mystery writing has been enhanced by attendance the past few years at the Book Passages Mystery Writers Conference in Corte Madera, CA. He is an Affiliate Member of Mystery Writers of America. Hint of Copper is his debut novel, a detective novel set in Salt Lake City in 1948.
