About the Book
The built legacies of Twentieth Century architecture and urbanization often hide in plain sight forms of social, racial and environmental injustice. Working in the spaces formed by these legacies and responding to the increasing pressures of a changing climate, Columbia Urban Design faculty and students engage design and policy challenges through the development of new tools and modes of practice. Justice in Place: Design for Equity in the Hudson Valley represents a snapshot of cumulative work by faculty and students developed over several years, working with the people, towns, cities, and landscapes of the Hudson Valley.
