About the Book
“It’s truly imaginative, and would spark creativity in kids of any age! What’s really cool is for little ones, the pictures will allow them far more range and detail than a normal picture book. But as they grow older, it will be a delightful resource for new vocabulary and avenues of exploration.” ~ Rev. Donna Belt
While isolated during the Coronavirus worldwide virus epidemic, boredom had been a foreign concept to author Cleone Lyvonne Reed.
She spent hours creating silly alliterations "Simply Superbly Silly Sensational Stuff," one story for each letter of the alphabet, but some of her silly stories have serious messages, such as this: “A Formula for a Fool-proof Fantastic Future of Friendships and FUN: Forget Fighting, Forego Fear, Focus on Forgiveness, and Follow up with Friends.” The book is fully illustrated with a wildlife collage for each letter of the alphabet before each story.
As an editor/graphic designer/publisher, she invited some of Robert D. Reed Publishers' authors as well as friends and family to participate, sending her their alliterations to add to the book, therefore making it a community effort with contributors all over the United States and even Germany and Bali.
So yes, this is a silly book, but it is also very educational! At least, it certainly was for her! And at age 74, Reed is still thriving on learning. A book for speech therapists or just anyone who wants an enjoyable read.
Between publishing books, my husband and I love to travel; and via the internet, we try to keep up with our business from wherever we are. Loving photography and having a life full of so many wonderful friends and family members, we take literally thousands of pictures a year. Loving to work with the blurb software, making books is my new thing. They take up so little room in comparison to the big cumbersome photo albums I have made over the years. I am hooked!
