About the Book
Within this body of work, abstraction can be defined as a visual language that uses color, shape, line, transparency and texture working in unison to create a compelling non objective composition. My work has no visual reference found in the natural or man-made world. Rather the imagery is derived from my personal experiences or impressions of life driven by the inherent properties of paint and the painting process. I explore possibilities based on overlapping geometric shapes that are often juxtaposed to curvilinear lines that imply momentum and sense of movement.
