'I was looking at myself in 1755, over two hundred and fifty years before. There had to be some reason for me to be there and i knew that I would get some out of answer. The scene began to change before my eyes. She was still there but i became aware of sounds, the same as those I had heard in my dreams, screams, the voices and then falling buildings' .
A historical story set in Portugal that has it's origins in a letter dated 4th May 1699. Based very loosely on actual historical events associated with the 1755 earthquake, It tell of a tragedy that still haunts the descendants, in particular a young English girl Bex (Rebecca).
This story is her story of how she confronts and lives with the impact of 1755.
