About the Book
This series of children’s stories ( age 4 and above) attempts to see our world and the current events through the eyes of a young girl. Lena is inquisitive, savvy, and an independent thinker. She finds simple solutions to seemingly big problems. In the first story, for example, during the pandemic and shortage of face masks, she convinces her grandfather to sew facemarks for them, and she has the insight to distribute the extra masks to those in need. A daughter of immigrant parents and grandparents, she has compassion for people of different races, colors and religions. Most importantly, she sees beyond the headlines and analyses the events and news around her with the keen understanding of society's injustices and the ways to overcome them.
