Witness Resistance emerged from a profound desire to creatively survive the Covid-19 pandemic, stand resoundingly against oppression and affirm faith in a humane and beautiful world.

This book results from the collaboration of visual artist, poet, and film and stage actor Michèle Voltaire Marcelin and her husband, human rights advocate, public policy strategist and photographer Jocelyn McCalla. Together they conjured words into prose and poetry, and digital tools and photos into artwork.
