About the Ebook
This project depicts this modern suburban physical form in recent Canberra Molonglo Valley developments that emphasises an enclosed, interior lifestyle. In my view, this enclosure encourages isolated living as it discourages casual neighbourly contacts and may be an obstacle to development of a sense of community in the immediate area. This project explores the suburb design and spatial characteristics that promotes this interior lifestyle. I advance this insular interior lifestyle promotes an inward way of being and a disconnection from the outside world.
