Emilie is a lifelong New Jersey resident. She grew up in Blairstown, NJ and moved to the Jersey Shore after attending Monmouth University. She enjoys the outdoors, painting, fitness, volunteering at animal shelters, and most importantly, spending time with her family. For my son’s second birthday, I wanted to celebrate our love of reading together by writing him a book of his own. The book follows the Kat Family as two reluctant kids embark on their first family camping trip and learn to love the outdoors. All illustrations were personally hand-painted and the storyline was inspired by my own childhood while growing up in rural Warren County, NJ.
