John Taplin is passionate about international and English language education. In this memoir of personal and business adventures, he shares his experiences as a teacher, teacher trainer, manager, and language school owner/director. John is known for his coordination of the international program at the University of Lethbridge before becoming founding director and later, President and CEO of Global Village Calgary. Currently, John serves Global Village Victoria as Board Chair. John's professional interests include building resilience and capacity in language programs. He currently resides with Cathie, his wife, in Canada’s Okanagan area.
