    About the Book

    Edit

Everyone has a story. There is no such thing as a boring, uneventful life. The mundane daily detail of how we spend each day becomes treasured, coveted material as time evolves, especially to those researching family members with the desire to know those who came before them. Getting to know them is what drives family historians, and the purpose of the series of books that feature some of the discoveries to date, titled ‘Recollections’. Each book is a selected overview of collected information, referenced for those wishing to explore further. This first book in the series introduces the family of Wilhelm Cramer and Maria Madden, who lived in 18th-century London. As a professional musician, Wilhelm and his family helped shape the classical period of music. The stories captured within depict life at the time; concerts, performing, young love, friendships, hardships, duelling, religion, and politics.

    Deborah Bullock
    Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Perth based author Deborah Bullock is an educator with a passion for questioning, learning, and sharing knowledge. Her career in education has involved academic research and rigour, skills she applies to her works. Raised in the mid-west of Western Australia, her upbringing in the isolated and historic gold-mining town of Meekatharra (a Yamatji word meaning 'place of little water'), instilled in her a deep sense of family, community and belonging. Her enthusiasm for learning and family has led to over 10 years of researching and documenting her ancestry. While not a gossip, she does enjoy telling tales and mentioning the juicier facts discovered about her family members, to anyone who shows the slightest interest.
