      A young woman leaves her small shtetl in Russia and travels alone to Chicago. She marries and raises six Jewish children in Gary, Indiana through the Great Depression and World War II. The interviews in this book are of Zeyta, that young emigree, at the age of ninety and her six children. Zeyta discusses her life in Motele, her trip to America and her life in Chicago and Gary. Her children discuss their experiences growing up as first-generation American Jews in Gary, Indiana.

      Peter was born in Ventura, California. A love of music and theatre kept his interests through college where he graduated with honors in Politics. His first job after college was working for the College of Marin where he produced the arts and lecture series events with artists like Ella Fitzgerald and icons like Robin Williams. He went on to a twenty-year career in the music and concert industry touring around the world with bands; Moody Blues, Air Supply, Sex Pistols and many more. As a manager, promoter and producer Peter managed performance and dance venues, jazz festivals, subscription concert series, corporate events, televised concert productions and many other unique events around the world. He finally left the road behind in 2000 and jumped onto the Internet where he has been a strategic marketer for a variety of world-class clients ever since. He runs his boutique marketing agency, etainia, in Santa Barbara, California.
