      About the Book

      Edit

When professional photographer and breast cancer survivor Amy Raab got her medical medical marijuana license to help her get through chemo, she was completely overwhelmed by all there is to learn about cannabis. And also too sick to care. As time went on, she tried lots of new strains and forgot which ones she liked. Over the past few years she has enjoyed learning new things from every budtender she meets but was still taking notes (and losing them) on scraps of paper. She created this journal for others who are just starting to explore the medical benefits of cannabis. The first few pages include all the simple science you really need to know to get started, followed by charts and lined pages to document each new strain. You will be delighted and inspired along your journey with images of her own euphoric moments and discoveries while celebrating her new cancer free life.

      Amy Raab
      Annapolis, Maryland

Amy began her career as a photographer at a chain of newspapers in Boston, MA after graduating from the University of Vermont in 1989. Wanting to explore the American West with her camera while pursuing a passion for horses and an urge to return to a society of old fashioned values and traditions as she had experienced in Vermont, Amy moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She worked and lived on ranches, capturing the connection between ranchers, their livestock and the land. Her work was published in newspapers and magazines and exhibited in galleries and museums in Jackson Hole and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Amy met her husband Kevin while living in Wyoming. They have lived in Annapolis, Maryland for over 20 years with their two daughters and beloved rescue dog. After a recent battle with breast cancer and a new perspective, Amy has now set her sights on making a living as an artist by finding the beauty in every day life and in the many adventures that await!
