      Born in 1967, Matt Otto began playing piano at 3 and saxophone at 9, at 15 he began playing local jazz gigs on alto sax. After attended Indiana University, Berklee School of Music, and receiving his B.A. From The New School for Social Research (Mannes Jazz), he graduated from California Institute of the Arts with a Masters in fine arts. Matt has recorded 6 Cd's as a leader and appeared on over 20 Cd's as a side man. He has played with Anthony Wilson, Gregory Hutchinson, Ben Monder, Larry Goldings, Steve Cardenas, Ben Street and many others.
