      About the Book

      Edit

Nestling in the Northamptonshire countryside, the parish of Whilton and Whilton Locks has seen its share of history, from Roman Legions, camped at the Bannaventa settlement just off the A5, through to heroes of the first and second world war. At the heart though, are its people, who bring life and energy to their parish, working the fields or building a community through their special events and social activity. Traditionally a farming village, with a pride in its church, Whilton is now a diverse and thriving community and this book attempts to show its history through photographs taken over the course of over 100 years.
