About

I make. Art theory generates nothing; making is necessary. I focus on what I enjoy or just interests me. I keep trying.
I draw, paint, sculpt, take photos, cut, grind, shape, paste, print, copy, assemble, alter, cut again, hammer, drill & repeat. Making is a daily habit, I create a visual journey with my art.
I use any media and tools available. I combine things in both physical & digital collage. My computer, camera, scanner & printer are valued tools.
I rarely have a detailed plan, instead I explore an idea or an image. I embrace the element of surprise. I balance a need for control, which requires technical skill & practice, with play & exploration. I take my explorations seriously, so when a plan emerges I follow through to a finished piece.
