About the Book
A biography of James Lynch by his daughter, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter—Hazel Lucile Lynch Skonberg, Roselyn Skonberg George, and Susan George Phillips. As a child, James escaped the Irish Potato Famine by emigrating to America. He worked in a cotton mill, panned for gold in California, fought in the Civil War, became a US citizen, and built a farm as one of the first pioneers in Lyon County, Kansas. Includes family photos and documents, detailed Civil War history, and a story quilt by a great-granddaughter.
