About the Book
We are looking into the distant past to solve this puzzle. Therefore, we must rely on Scripture, ancient historians, authentic artifacts, and Christian eye-witnesses. Early on, we saw that Daniel used a Hebrew calendar to mark his prophecy. Therefore, we must also discover how Daniel measured time in those strange lands in past ages. Amazingly, God buried papyri proof in the dry sand on Elephantine Island, Egypt, to solve this calendar mystery. Follow along as we brush away the sands of time to reconstruct the old Hebrew calendar. Discover how Jesus fulfilled those time prophecies with unusual accuracy and some eye-openng twists.
Perhaps others remember an evening as a child sitting on a stout church pew while the pastor shared a slide show on Bible prophecy. Grainy images, projected onto a glossy-white screen, portrayed odd beasts with wings and horns, rising from the land or the sea. Those images have a lingering impact. At some point in our lives, it is time to learn what God wants us to understand through prophecy. What did Gabriel, the covering cherub, mean by seventy weeks? What year and day was Christ crucified? What year was He born? Since we are studying time prophecies, we authored the book, "Daniel's Calendar Decoded: From the Elephantine Papyri." Our study begins by examining how the ancient prophets kept time. Then we investigate the accuracy of Daniel's prophecies. See if you agree with our reconstruction of the fifth-century B.C. Jewish calendar, and how you might improve our collective understanding.
