About the Book
Sarah's Grave starts out in 1930's Lancashire. James Hardy was a small boy bullied at school. He was quiet and reserved. He spent much of his time walking the moors above his home. During one of those walks he came across a dilapidated grave. He could read only three letters 'SAR'. He namesd the occupant Sarah. He looked after and tended the grave throughout his childhood as well as after he joined the Royal Navy for World War Two. He survived being torpedoed in the Atlantic as well as the horrors of Omaha Beach. He didn't receive as much as a scratch during his war service. He got married and had three children but due to lack of work in post war Britain, decided to emigrate to Australia with his family, but not before one last visit to Sarah.
