About the Book
Inspired by real-life beekeeping and family roots, this beautifully told tale follows Breeze, a hardworking honeybee who teaches readers about teamwork, caring for others, and the magic of pollination. Through her adventures, children discover how bees play an essential role in the environment—and how even the smallest creatures can make a big difference.
Created with love by author B’Ann Dittmar, this story was inspired by her son, Chase, who began beekeeping at just 13 years old and turned his passion for bees into an educational agritourism experience near Galena, Illinois. The character “Breeze” is named in honor of Chase’s grandmother, whose legacy of warmth and generosity lives on in every page.
Perfect for children ages 3–8, this book combines education, environmental awareness, and heartfelt storytelling—making it a wonderful addition to classrooms, nature centers, and home libraries. With its gentle message of community and care, Breeze the Busy Bee makes a perfect gift for young readers, teachers, and families who love stories about nature, kindness, and family connections.

About the Creator
B’Ann Dittmar is a college business and management instructor and the co-owner of Dry Creek Beekeeping, an agritourism company near Galena, Illinois, that she operates with her son, Chase. Together, they share their passion for bees through hands-on education, beekeeping tours, and honey tastings that inspire visitors to appreciate the vital role of pollinators. B’Ann is also the proud mom of Chase and Brooke and the wife of her extraordinary husband and greatest supporter, Dan. She is passionate about teaching, connecting with people, and finding joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments. She wrote Breeze the Busy Bee to honor her kind and caring mother—whose love, encouragement, and faith continue to inspire her every day. To B’Ann, faith and family are everything, and her writing reflects the sweetness found in both. “Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.” — Proverbs 16:24
