About the Book
This selection was taken from a study of over 200 drawings that were done between 2000 and 2010.
The selection presents an automatic iconography, calligraphic movements, doodling with intention. The goal is to find, rather than search for-characters and scenes with emotional situations.
I call them "Iconik Emissions", due to the flexibility and spontaneity of how lines were generated and organized. The digital lines are graphic improvisations, where the flow of the experience is released without the filter of thought.
In this work the spontaneity of the stroke is imperative. Graphs are improvisations, where we let the content flow from the experience without the filter of thought. The lines are drawn in a way to interconnect and create a visual mix.
The attempt is to activate the viewer's perceptual ability to organize the lines into a picture in their mind.
