    About the Book

    Edit

The Convict’s Creations Cookbook is a prison survival manual pretending to be a cookbook so it doesn’t get confiscated. It takes you behind the walls to show how inmates turn basic commissary items into meals that are somehow edible, occasionally impressive, and always created without a kitchen, a stove, or any adult supervision. These are real recipes actually cooked in prison cells by people with nothing but time, creativity, and a very serious motivation to not eat plain ramen again.

Along the way, you’ll get a firsthand look at the unspoken Convict Code, the self-imposed rules inmates live by, and the borderline genius hacks used to make day-to-day prison life tolerable. From keeping food cold in a place designed to keep nothing cold, to acquiring cooking ingredients when cooking isn’t allowed, this book shows how necessity doesn’t just inspire innovation, it bullies it into existence. Toss in jokes and commentary from our mascot, Con-Edison, and you’ve got a cookbook that’s informative, ridiculous, and surprisingly practical. Cheap food, minimal prep, maximum ingenuity. No felony required!
