    About the Book

    Edit

Nestled deep within the jungles of northern Cambodia rests a short-lived 10th century capital of the Khmer Empire. Koh Ker remains one of the most enigmatic and visually stunning archaeological sites in the world. With UNESCO World Heritage status, this marks Koh Ker as a new popular attraction in Cambodia.

This photo book captures the essence of the ancient ruins and moves you off the well trodden tracks of Angkor, revealing the city lost in the jungle. View colossal stone structures and the jungle locked in a centuries-long embrace. Witness the raw, untamed spirit of Koh Ker.

    Micheal Linke
    Seattle, WA USA

Micheal Linke is a writer, photographer, and numismatist with a passion for Asia, spurred by his years studying, living, and working there. A native Californian, he graduated with a degree in Asian Studies from the University of Washington in Seattle, and became an ESL teacher in South Korea. There for over ten years, he grew to love and appreciate Korean history and traditional architecture. With South Korea as his home base, he began traveling extensively throughout Asia — from Myanmar to Japan, and nearly everything in between. Following an extended trip to Southeast Asia, he developed what can rightly be called an addiction to Molam, a type of Isaan style Thai country music, and a greater appreciation of traditional Khmer and Thai culture and history. He now writes guide books based on his extensive experiences, focusing on both the rich history and cultures of Asia so others can follow in his journeys and discover the fascinating diversity of various Asian cultures.
