About the Book
At just 14 years old, Olga Salomon Goldstein was torn from her home in Transylvania and thrust into the horrors of the Holocaust. Separated from her family at Auschwitz-Birkenau, she endured concentration camps, forced labor, and a brutal death march before liberation at the end of World War II. Against overwhelming odds, Olga survived.
After the war, she reunited with her father and brother, built a new life, married William Goldstein, and eventually immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio, where they raised a family and created successful businesses. For decades, Olga remained silent about her experiences, but later dedicated herself to educating future generations about the dangers of hatred and the importance of remembering history.
Olga Goldstein’s story is one of courage, resilience, and hope—a powerful reminder that even after unimaginable loss, it is possible to build a life filled with love, family, and purpose.
