About the Book
In Jump for Flowers, Leslie J. Davis negotiates the everyday tasks and rituals of mothering a young child while grieving a pregnancy loss and preparing for her second child. Themes of loss and renewal butt up against mundane domesticity. Sharply tuned to language, sound and the natural world around her, Leslie’s poems are set in California's Central Valley where she lived between the births of her two children.
