    About the Book

    Edit

Nature becomes the classroom in The Hilltop Nature Journal, a hands-on botanical activity book created for children ages 5–10.

Inspired by the gardens and seasonal observations of Hilltop Botanicals, this journal encourages young explorers to slow down, look closely, and learn from the natural world around them.

Children can study the parts of flowers and leaves, create leaf and bark rubbings, follow the life cycle of a plant, track a seed as it grows, watch garden pollinators, record the weather, complete a botanical scavenger hunt, and imagine their own herbal tea blend.
The book also includes ten guided field-note pages and a Junior Botanist certificate to celebrate the child’s completed exploration.

    Inside the book:
    Flower and leaf anatomy
    Leaf-shape identification
    Leaf and bark rubbing pages
    Plant life-cycle lesson
    Six-week plant growth log
    Pollinator tally activity
    Five-senses nature walk
    Weather and season tracker
    Herb and flower scavenger hunt
    Creative tea blend activity
    Ten nature field-note pages
    Junior Botanist certificate
    Guidance for parents and educators
