About the Book
FLUX Vol.IV explores four years of living La Vaquilla del Ángel in Teruel.
Photographed between 2023 and 2026, the book follows the celebration not as an event to document, but as an experience to inhabit.
Bulls, crowds, charangas, family, friends, rituals, streets, discarded objects, laughter, fatigue, silence after the celebration, shadows, small gestures, fleeting encounters,
all become fragments of the same collective memory.
Most of the photographs were made spontaneously with small cameras and a mobile phone, embracing an intuitive way of seeing where emotion takes precedence over spectacle.
Rather than describing the festival itself, the book explores what remains after the music fades: belonging, friendship, shared traditions, and the invisible bonds created during four intense days every July.
The photographs are deeply connected to Peña Los Marinos, whose 75th anniversary in 2026 became another chapter of this long visual journey, alongside the documentary created to preserve part of its history.
More than a photobook, FLUX Vol.IV becomes:
