A book of stories and lessons...
Stories,
… from a little, blue farmhouse in the heart of the west,
… from a creaky, old church at the foot of the mountains,
… from the kitchen of a mom changing her family tree,
… from a cemetery in Texas…

Lessons,
… learned in the house of mourning,
… learned from a heart blossoming in love,
… learned from the tears of motherhood,
… learned from having to get up and try again 100+ times…

Druanna masterfully weaves these stories, lessons, and poems collected over 40 years into “The Mess Under the Stove.” This charming volume addresses what it’s like to navigate as an adult from a broken home, the ways modern feminism has lied to an entire generation of women, and how to manage relationships in a culture full of broken people.
