    About the Book

    Edit

This book explores one of the most fascinating characteristics of the Armenian language: how Western and Eastern Armenians can share the same alphabet, read many of the same written words, and yet hear them pronounced quite differently.

Through clear comparisons, phonetic examples, and everyday expressions, this book shows how changes in consonant sounds, pronunciation, and vocabulary can sometimes make familiar Armenian sound surprisingly unfamiliar.
