FLUX Vol.V continues the idea of photography as a visual diary, this time built around a single extraordinary day.

On 12 August 2026, a total solar eclipse crossed the sky over Spain.

While many people travelled in search of the perfect location and the perfect photograph, I chose to experience it from home.

The day began at my parents’ house, with family and an afternoon at the swimming pool. Later, from my balcony, we followed the eclipse on television, watched the changing light and shared the moment together.

I photographed what was around me:

family
the balcony
eclipse glasses
reflections
silhouettes
textures
unexpected moments

The famous photograph never came. A cloud covered the totality at the crucial moment.

And that was fine.

Using mainly an iPhone and a small Ricoh GR, I chose to document not the eclipse itself, but my presence within it.

High-contrast black and white transforms the changing light and ordinary details into fragments of memory.

The book also includes a small selection of photographs made by other photographers, offering different perspectives on the same event.

Different cameras.
Different places.
The same moment.

FLUX Vol.V is not a record of how the eclipse looked, but of how it was lived.

A visual archive of one day, one family, and an extraordinary event experienced through ordinary life.

Because sometimes the most important photograph is not the one that captures the event, but the one that reminds us that we were there.
