Reed Brothers Dodge: Montgomery County's Oldest Dodge Dealership is a companion volume to Montgomery History's online exhibit of the same name. Expanding upon the exhibit, this richly illustrated book tells the story of Maryland's oldest Dodge dealership through historic photographs, advertisements, documents, and research drawn from the Reed Brothers Dodge archives and the Lewis Reed Photograph Collection.

Founded in Rockville in 1915, Reed Brothers grew from a small automobile garage into a longtime local institution, remaining under the ownership of the same family for three consecutive generations. Its story unfolds against nearly a century of change in Rockville and Montgomery County, from the earliest days of motoring through the transformation of the automobile business and the surrounding community.

Few automobile dealerships preserved such an extensive visual and documentary record of their own history. Together, these surviving images and records offer a rare look at the people, places, and events that shaped Reed Brothers Dodge while preserving an important chapter in Montgomery County's business, transportation, and automotive history.
