Book Two, On Heartbreak, examines the heartbreak I feel about racial injustice, as well as about my formative years where I struggled with the conditioning that many young men receive. Attending an all-boys school resulted in early experiences with girls that had me feeling anxious and stressed. Some painful experiences led me to have low self-esteem and to, at times, move from a place of loneliness. I discuss aspects of my healing journey, including respecting and maintaining healthy boundaries. Lastly, meeting a loving mentor in recent years has been inspiring and quite meaningful.
