About the Book
Kerry Slattery has been writing the stories of her own ancestors and those of her husband. For years, she has dreamed of writing the story of Bonnie Doon, the long-time home of her father's family in County Clare, Ireland. But capturing it on paper has always felt elusive. It seems to be more than a house, but a place that has held the dreams of its residents and caretakers for over two hundred years.
This booklet is a work in progress, part of a larger story still being written. The hope is that it will spark memories, and stir cousins, visitors, and longtime Kilrush residents to share their own stories of Bonnie Doon.
It's only the beginning of the story. If you have memories, photos, or stories of Bonnie Doon to share, they have a place in the fuller book still to come.
