About the Book
Two photographers traveling from Phoenix to San Francisco would naturally pack their cameras. They’d be expected to shoot the sights of America’s favorite city. What would happen if instead, the trip was the subject? That’s what Jim Witkowski and Jeffrey Goggin did. This book is the story and photographs of their journey.
The plan was not to have a plan. They traveled along back roads attempting not to put a tire on a freeway. Taking a couple of extra travel days and shoot whatever captured their eye along the route. That’s a pretty good challenge when you consider that all of the bridges in San Francisco are interstate highways. Ah, but there is an exception and that’s along the coast.
This is your invitation to share their amusing adventure and enjoy the images captured along the way.

Although I’ve been a photographer for 40 years, I didn’t really fall in love with the art until 2002 when I sat down and learned about digital processing. The past eight years have been the most productive in my career. Part of being productive is learning about new processes, products and about my work.
