      About the Book

      Edit

The author has been "forced" into an early retirement. He leaves the city - Atlanta - he has lived in for 35 years and drives a U-haul and trailer across the country, back to his home town of Virginia City, Montana.

This is the story of his thoughts, emotions and experiences in the trip that he knows will change his life forever.

There is angst in leaving his family, his defunct career, his friends of 35 years, of course.

This book is written in free verse, a loose style of poetry that isn't required to rhyme, match numbers of syllables, anything. But it works, curiously, for this book. Thoughts and emotions are often completed in a single line... which is probably the original reason for free verse in the first place.

And emotional, enlightening read, which most will easily relate to.
